Hey friends!
I’m on the road. Thursday night I taught at New York Insight – rushing in from the airport, navigating the grid, giddy with Manhattan’s infectious and highly non-meditative energy. Eleven floors up, 70 people meditating in the hum. “If you can meditate here, you can meditate anywhere” to paraphrase the famous New York slogan. Then I headed upstate to teach a weekend retreat at Omega.
In the city I stayed with my great friend
in Brooklyn. On Friday morning, after drinking our Matcha tea, I guided her and her adorable puppy ChaCha in a short practice. Afterwards we chatted about how, in meditation, we go in to go out. That short conversation happens at the end of the guided audio above - enjoy!Much love,
Jeff.
A few quick notes—

CEC Summer Retreat: Meditate! Celebrate! Activate!
August 29-September 1, 2025
Five Oaks Education & Retreat Centre, Ontario, Canada - (Online too)
The
’s legendary summer retreat is back! We sit in MEDITATION through the day, a mix of solo and guided excursions into sound, energy, openness, silence and gratitude … thus opening a space for our afternoon ACTIVATION sessions, where we play with our insights live, in community. What emerges naturally when there’s trust and relaxation and the right proportion of irreverence: CELEBRATION! Campfire hangouts and sound-baths and a fun dance party on the final night. Basically we have a good time. What else is meditation for if it can’t deliver on that?Come join
, Erin Oke, , and others from the CEC Teaching Team, including Jeff, who will guide a session virtually, as he drives across the country en route to Vancouver.NOTE: if you cannot attend in-person, consider attending online - see below.
