DNP: The Infinity of Doing Nothing

The Do Nothing Project with Brooke Thomas, May 17, 2026

In this episode of the Do Nothing Project, guest teacher Brooke takes us on a bit of a mind-bend into the actual levels of infinity. It turns out infinity isn’t just one big blank canvas — there are small infinities and big ones. Brooke happens to be an Integrated Mathematics Educator with a Masters in Curriculum, alongside her meditation background, so when she tells us this is mathematically true, we believe her. When we practice, there’s the little infinity of the endless, ordinary things happening around us right now that we can pay attention to. And then there’s the big infinity — the way this simple practice plugs us into a stream of people, lineages, and traditions stretching back thousands of years.

Nerdy and beautiful, in the best Do Nothing way.
