I was blown away by this meditation - and I've pretty much heard all of them! Here are the actual texts I sent to Jeff, after he sent me and Joe this recording:
Wow. I’m actually speechless
that authentic background birdsong is fucking SICK
that was like I just snorted instantly relaxation into my veins
I feel the quintessential July summer relaxing vibes ✌️
And you must MUST leave in the “fuckin trees are the best!” line
Also loved that line! Jeff weaves meditation and swearing in a way that is pure artistry. It is a beautiful part of what makes him relatable and such a pleasure to listen to because you never know what he might come up with. Keep being you!
This may have been the fastest 20 minutes I ever spent meditating. I felt myself completely enveloped in the sounds of the forest, with the birdsong becoming my home base at times. Note to self: Look into a Cortes Island getaway. My takeaways here: I want to be the tree. I want to be the poise and the composure amidst change. I want to flex as needed, as all trees do, but I want to remember that I'll still be the tree tomorrow, when I will likely needed to flex in another direction. More than wanting these things, I need these things. Hmmmm...actually, more than wanting and needing these things, can't I just say that I'm already these things? I am these things. And I want to continue getting better at it. Love you, Jeff. As always, you change moments, hours, days, and lives.
Awesome Richard. I had this wild experience in a meditation of connecting to a quality of tree energy that was so generous and patient. It was quite emotional, I felt so safe, like I was home. Almost like the tree was my dad or something.🌳
Please visit me! There is a new opportunity at the garden called Cultivara…it’s climbing a tree assisted….up to 60 metres I think? Maybe you’d be game. I’m trying it next week.
Trees…I love them so much I named my son Cedar. Your tree meditation reminded me I need to take my practice outside more often…to reconnect, recharge, reengage with life. When I meditate outside l am more present and less entangled in the distractions. I often feel a deep sense of connection to myself and all that is around me. It‘s in these moments, in nature , I am reminded of the inherent value of all living beings. My human-centered world shifts to something more interconnected. Embodied presence.
This is delightful - I’m listening while sitting on my deck on a lovely July Sunday morning and the nature sounds sounded like they were in my yard - the best! Thank you Jeff. Now I just saw how I can access the extended version🤗. Subscribing to you is totally worth the price of admission!
Thank you for this beautiful meditation! Love hearing the sounds of the forest - so relaxing and peaceful. This will definitely be one I come back to often!
what a good-natured good time. when my thoughts occasionally took me away during that sit, I remembered that's just my wild nature showing up, too. I noticed the feeling of a grin on my face as I came back to the sounds of nature and the visual of my maple tree. in excellent company. "fucking trees, man. they're the best. thank you, trees." thank you, Jeff. thank you, community. <sigh>
It’s sounds like such a beautiful place. It was lovely to imagine being amongst all the trees. And super helpful to have the association of the tree to help find that inner composure. Thank you!

Trees!!
Richard….come visit the UBC Botanical Garden. It is easy to get to - in Vancouver. We have trees! Lots of them. And eagles….
I'm building my British Columbia dream itinerary immediately! Thank you for the recommendation! #RichardInBC2026 :):)

What is this place for this meditation again in Canada 🇨🇦 ?
Jeff was talking about Cortes island but BC is full of places like that. The UBC Botanical Garden, for example.
The spiraling song of the Swainson’s Thrush is the best home base ever! Thanks for the opportunity to audibly peep into that forest.
Yes! That was the first time I’ve heard of that bird, so distinct.
Thank you so much for including the audio! truly magical!
Isn’t just so damn beautiful?!
I sat in my room looking out at the trees loving this meditation. Thanks so much. x

Gah this is so true Olivia. I need to meditate outdoors as well - it really helps to make the shift.
trees 🌳 give us life, thank you!

I’m reading The Overstory by Richard Powers, and I don’t want it to ever end.
If ever there’s a great time to read it, it’s under a big tree!
Loved this 💕 Thank you!
Breathing deeply. thank you
Beautiful forest bathing meditation… loved this. 🥰 🌳
