Loved this meditation! It brought me back to some wondrous sensory experiences early in my meditation practice.
Long before I started listening to your guided meditations, I would sit in stillness with my eyes closed, as the light of dawn was just entering the room. From behind closed eyes I saw gentle atmospheric shifts in color -- muted grays and lavenders magically transforming into brilliant red orange and yellows as the sunlight streamed into the room. It was at once calming and exhilarating! Looking forward to listening to the longer version, late in the day, when I might open up to new and transformative spaces. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Jeff, for all you do. You are an international treasure. Friday is great, but I’ll take it whenever you want to put it out there. In my head, I’ve been saying to myself, “Oh good! Another Jemeditation.” (Jeff meditation) 😆
Fantastic I ❣️❤️it please tell us more I love all that you do Jeff I listened to the replay of your new meditation while doing art therapy my paintings are dark then frivolous then almost good I love your meditation practices are raw and real whilst helping us find our own style of equanimity please keep up the wonderful work I live the DTP all while you are all 💤😴 and it's lunchtime in Tomewin in New South Wales Australia 🦘🦘
My iPad pinged to let me know something was now on this app and so actually hearing it and going along with it for the first time. In this way was wonderful! I was in a bad place, mum just made things worse then “ping”! I’m laying on my sofa, calm and comfortable now and relaxed. So thank you! Perfect timing and certainly sticking with it now. I don’t always make sense but hopefully I tiny bit has come across… 🩵
I'm SO excited to hear about this, but I won't be able to make this event sadly. That said, I have a hard copy of Head Trip and it's easily one of my favorite books of the last two decades. It's filled with underlines and margin notes. It left an indelible impression on me and inspired this podcast episode about the grey area between waking and dreaming life. It features some amazing original music and a...gamified experience, asking the audience to answer - "was i dreaming??." Thx for your incredible work! I hope it can find a way into one of your events! https://fugues.simplecast.com/episodes/was-i-dreaming-when-i-wrote-this
Wow Gabriel, very cool, I’m definitely gonna listen to this. Thanks for the kind words about Head Trip, always happy and a bit surprised that anyone remembers it! 😂
Man, I lent my copy to a friend, and he never returned it, so i bought another one (that is also filled with margin notes). It remains totally ahead of its time. Thx!
I am fascinated with lucid dreaming and have worked on having more of them, so I'm interested in more posts about it. My latest struggle with them is I don't know what to do next once I know I'm lucid.
Thanks Jeff for another great meditation. Hope you’re enjoying your time on the West coast! Next time you have a meditation event in Ontario I hope to be able to join you again. I loved the one day retreat from May. Thanks for all you do 🙏🏼
Aw Jeff. Reading about your failed astral projection attempts took me right back to my five year old self spinning furiously within a circle of garments from my brand new wonder woman outfit. Alas, the garments did not project themselves onto me. Sad potato 🥔 Thanks for the giggle and dreamy meditation. P.s. I'm going start low key lobbying for you to host a retreat in Canada. In the most equanamous way possible, of course. Pretty please... 🙏🇨🇦
Ha! Thank you for the spinning five five year-old Wonder Woman image. I’d love to do more retreats in Canada. I am now doing one on the West Coast at Hollyhock in BC. Ontario would be nice, but they need a retreat centre big enough to host a decent number of folks, where the retreat centre itself does the bookings. Otherwise these small retreat centres just throw it all back on the teacher to rent out spaces, etc., etc. It’s a pain in the butt, but of course also understandable why it happens that way. Retreat centres are notoriously hard to make into viable business!
Thanks for the thoughtful response, as always. I got super excited to hear about the BC event but unfortunately can't make May work. How many folks would a centre need to host comfortably? Would love to see you out east! Wondering if Nova Scotia might have somewhere big enough?
Appreciate that, Jeff - it's not easy but that's why we have our cushions and our practice to keep us centered and, quite frankly, sane. Chicago winter is settling in so I'm sure you're feeling the sting further north!

Tamar you have a way with words!
Actually — my fear that I will be inarticulate leads to obsessively revising what I write. My favorite language is visual!
Totally interested in more about lucid dreaming and anything else you have to offer from your experience regarding the brain and perceived reality!
Ok! That’s a big subject area, so much cool stuff and so many very different perspectives. I’ll try to keep it grounded but appropriately trippy ❤️
I love your accommodation of brain studies and meditation. I want to pick your brain. Pun intended.

How perfect the DNP reaches you in the dark Leanne

Good 🙂
Love the Friday email. It’s evening in the uk and I enjoy before going to bed x

Just what my body, mind, and soul needed this morning.

I usually just explore. But you have to stay calm, if you get too excited or move too fast, everything falls apart when you lose lucidity
Lots of good resources about what to do once you’re lucid - lucid dreaming is one of those preeminent Internet subjects.
Looking forward to this event in Asheville. I've been using the website with my neuro students for years.
Awesome Randall, come say hi
This was perfect for an end of the week, Friday night wind down. Saving this one! :)
Yes to the Friday postings. I live in the Asheville area and hoping to make it to the event. If not, I’ll definitely be at the retreat the next day.
Great Olivia, maybe I’ll see you there

How about here? 😇 https://www.tatacentre.ca/
Look forward to whenever and whatever. A Daily Trip follower as well. All of it is truly helpful. I thank you.
Great stuff, Jeff, as always. Many thanks from one of your still sane neighbors in the lower 48. :-)
ha! Thanks, Dan. I have many sane southern neighbors, still feel more or less less optimistic for the long game
