“Mudita” is the Buddhist practice of basking appreciatively in someone else’s joy. A cultivation, a concentration, and sometimes - when the opposite of joy comes up - an unexpected “purification,” to use the slightly creepy contemplative word for releasing our feelings into the light of day. In this buoyant episode of the Do Nothing Project, we explore the necessity of joy and hard times.
What is the Do Nothing Project?
Prepare to be underwhelmed! Every Sunday night myself or a cohost guide a free 25-minute meditation on YouTube. Our subject is a variation on nothing whatsoever.
You can read more about the Do Nothing Project here, and peruse hundreds of archived weekly meditations here.
Look forward to doing nothing in community with you!
