Thank you Jeff, Joe and this community. 30 years ago when I was stuck in panic attack mode this community would have been a godsend. Just knowing you are all out there is like a warm blanket. Thank you for sharing these meditations. They are all a little different and I am so grateful!
Thank you Malaya! I loved your meditation. I woke up yesterday morning meditating with Tamar and went to sleep last night meditating with you. Your voice is so soothing! Ethereal. Perfect way to end the day.
Oh thank you so much, Kay. I am so happy you found meditations that work for you in the morning and at bedtime. I loved Tamarโs meditation too! Yes, this community rocks! Blessings.
Malaya, thank you for such a wonderful meditation. You have such a calming voice and I loved the imagery you invokedโ our thoughts gently dropping like leaves in a river and our ability to land into our bodies just as they are. This was beautiful. Thank you! ๐
Hi @varda Thank you for your kind words! So glad you liked the imagery. I love to imagine visualizations during meditations to gently guide my mind in calming ways. Blessings. ๐
Malaya, thank you for this gentle and calming meditation. I loved the grounding in Mother Earth, and the peaceful flow of your words. Grateful to be here with you.
@Tamar Zinn Tamar, thank you so much for your kind words. ๐ And may I also congratulate you on your amazing meditation that made me feel such gratitude for someone who truly understands chronic pain. All your words were like a soothing balm for me. I just wanted to weep with joy and I want to do your meditation again and again. Many blessings and so grateful to meet you in this community.
Malaya, itโs so good to read that you found my meditation soothing. I used to try to manage the pain either by powering through (which can work sometimes but is also destructive) or by completely dissolving into a sobbing mess (very cathartic in the moment but also exhausting). What finally helped me was tenderness โ putting aside self-pity and replacing it with acceptance and love. ๐
Thank you Jeff, for encouraging us to dip our toes in the water, and Joe, for the tech support in making this happen. The diversity of experiences and practices is endlessly enriching. I'm so grateful to be part of this beautiful community.
Iโm working through all of these and did this one first. Tamar, I loved your meditation so much. Youโre such a beautiful composer of thoughts. And the phrase, I offer this to you in friendship sitting by your side made me well up a bit ๐ฅบ. Your message captures the beauty of the DNP community so well. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you Varda. I'm glad you listened to my meditation. During the first few years, when my physical pain was at its worst, I tried to downplay how much I was struggling. I kept quiet about it, not wanting to be defined by it. But I gradually realized that I had cut myself off from emotional support that would have helped me cope with the pain. Little by little I understood that when someone is suffering, it is enough to show up and take their hand. It is healing for both of us.
Yes thank you so much Jeff and Joe for allowing this to happen! Itโs such a fun and creative way to try what itโs like to guide a meditation (and hear others) - in a safe space! I canโt wait to listen to all the other meditations! Thank you everybody ๐
I just listened to your wonderful meditation. It evoked so many emotions. Tears of gratitude for your presence in the community. Your wisdom, experience and willingness to share your journey with all of us. Thank you for your thoughtful, calm presence! Very grounding for me. I look forward to listening again and perhaps meeting you someday.๐
Thank you Kay, for listening to the meditation. Understanding what I wanted to communicate and the shape it might take turned out to be rather emotional for me. I hope my words will provide some comfort for you, however fleeting.
Andrew, I loved the imagery of the Zamboniโ slowly and steadily polishing the mush of the busy mind into a space where clarity can surface! Wonderful!
Angie, thank you for this leisurely unwinding of body and mind. There is something luxurious about resting in the quiet and affirming space of your words. ๐
Dan I appreciate the phrase โfeeling the life underneath our thoughtsโ as a cue to experience that part of our minds and bodies - sometimes it seems like my life is my thoughts- thatโs where all the action seems to be- and I know the point is to tap into experiencing the โmoreโ that there is. Thank you for your calm confident guidance, it was so easy to relax with you.
yep. confirmed. the community IS the teacher! this is beautiful. thank you all ๐๐ป๐

What lands here is the Meditation Open Mic Night angle. It turns the idea into a usable lens instead of another abstract take.

Hi Joe,
Kay here. I just listened to Tamarโs incredible meditation and would like to comment. Is there a place to do that?

What an amazing, brave community to be in. ๐ I canโt wait to listen to these meditations.
๐ฆHello:) Is there a link to hear all of the meditations that were sent in? Sending a warm aura to surround you all ๐
Hi Rhiannon, yes! It's the orange button labeled "Home Base Community Meditation Practices"
There are some really wonderful meditations in that folder!!
I hope this isnโt answered tooโฆ do you have to install the dropbox app or is there another way to open the folder without installing an app?
Oh boy ๐ซฅ๐ถ I shouldโve read the email better first . So sorry for my inattentiveness ๐ฎโ๐จ๐
Hi - there shouldn't be a need to install the dropbox app - it will likely prompt you to, but you can tap "open in browser" instead!
I figured it out:) I had to go through the app, not the email:) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/jeqnapgxylbngi89ye1gm/AFObUt-VvUHIobgAj3U5vIg?dl=0&e=3&rlkey=3am0qoq0glk7tbj01iqg0yg1d&st=0ibox1g1
