JEFF!!!!!!!!!!! This and Calmland were AWESOME!!!!! After all, aren't all adults just overgrown children needing assistance with regulation like any child?? (ummmmm.....or that just me? just a manchild who still seems to forget I'm actually an adult?!??!!? 🤣)
But honestly, I actually got a little teary-eyed during Colourland.....and I think it had to do with the idea of the power of the breath.....this tool that we have at our disposal at ALL times and yet we somehow routinely forget to use it.
In fact, during Calmland, I keep thinking about Toby Sola's guest meditation a few weeks back...this concept of using the breath to throttle down and literally choosing to activate our parasympathetic nervous systems.....
So, as perfect as these were for kids, they were perfect for this big kid. Incidentally, I signed up to be a tutor for a young person this fall and during my "intake" interview with the person who organizes the program, we were talking about regulation techniques for the kids who can't focus because they're either too up or too down. I described these meditations to her and she was like "OMG TELL ME MORE NOW!!!!!!!!"
I gave Colourland a listen -- so sweet and clearly something that young children are likely to engage with, starting with the boring blah blah blahs. But it's not a surprise to me that you would be a natural working with kids, and one of the reasons I love listening to so many of your meditations. You seem to access your inner child with ease! I'll forward this to a couple of friends with young kiddos as I expect they'll be interested in it. I'm also going to check out Calmland. Thanks Jeff!
I’ve been using these the past few days with my 9 year old son before I read this. Found it last summer and have used it several times since, primarily at bedtime. Thanks for the work! (Also turns out it I’m pals with one of the Kidevolve contributors Nick Flanagan 😁)
That was amazing Jeff! It was expressive, quirky, joyful and wonderfully animated. I love all the super cool sound effects. I was literally smiling and chuckling with glee listening. I know your boys love it too!! You’d be great for voice over work!!
I hope you, your wife and the kids have a blast in BC!
Did this with my 7 year old in the morning. We loved it and it gave me a smile the entire time! Such a sweet and fun meditation! Thank you Jeff! You’re awesome!
That was so much fun, so imaginative, your descriptions made it all so vivid - so colorful! Felt like I was watching a video and yet relaxing and letting go of the blahs all at the same time. Thanks, Jeff!
I love this! Thanks Jeff. Lots of heavy, authoritarian stuff going on here in my home city, Los Angeles. It’s been challenging to sit and meditate (even though this is when we need it the most.) This kid-centered approach is exactly what I needed. So grateful 🙏
Well that was cute! Maybe I'll run into you here in Victoria.. I'll keep an ear out for the poo poo bum bum song 😂
hahah a new urban legend

So excited that you are coming to NY in August! Looking forward to meeting you IN PERSON!
Awesome Tamar! Come up and say hi, curious to meet you. 😀

Thanks Jeff. It’s all “poop” and fart noises over here. No SpongeBob for 1st kid, too much for 2nd 😝
😂
my kiddo loved this, especially the frisbee <3
