Loved this! My jaw was very tight and needed to relax and open. I want to speak or yell but usually feel as if I have to be quiet instead. Answer at the end was: I Need To Sing a Big Song.

I was feeling somewhat muddled at the start of this -- a bit off but for no apparent reason. There was nothing specific I could sense in my body. But because I've become more accepting of that feeling of soft discomfort, I kept going without anxiously investigating it. The surprise for me was noticing that by the end of this practice, I was sitting taller and more at ease. Thank you. And thank you for the information about Gendlin.

I had spinal surgery a week ago. I am still suffering with a lot of pain. This really helped work through it being curious about it being patient with it. Be easy going with it and letting it go. Let’s hope it works! Thanks Jeff. Sue

Love learning about focusing - thanks for sharing! I feel like this is very similar to my qi gong practice - feeling into where energy is stuck, where it is flowing, and how it grows and changes with practice. In qi gong I’m not looking to understand “why”, but rather to fully inhabit this fathom long body and to try to practice within it. Dropping the words and coming as fully as possible into the body has been helpful for me and I appreciate your offering!

This was a very cool practice and I’d like to learn more about it - thanks for providing those links, Jeff. Also, for those folks here who’ve expressed support for my nephew who is facing a very serious brain cancer diagnosis I want to say thank you so much. He had surgery last week and it went better than expected. Just trying to value every day and every moment which is all any of us can ever do, right? Have a good week!

This was such an interesting experience and made me want to re-read Gendlin’s book. I read it some years ago and thought it was interesting but actually being guided through the practice was so helpful. Thanks, as always, to Jeff’s skillfully human guidance!

I had the experience of being able to be curious about a sensation in my body I normally just label as ’that old pain’ and refuse to listen to. This time I could just feel it and let the feeling speak its own language.
